Sources said that the district BJP unit has been keeping an eye on the corporators who are offering support secretly to Bharati. The party office-bearers were especially active on Friday to know how many corporators were out of City.

It is learnt that four corporators including two from new Bhopal area, one from old City and one from Bairagarh were out of City. At least two of them are considered close to Uma Bharati’s supporter, Bhagwandas Sabnani, who was BJP’s mayoral candidate during the last election.

Sources said that the BJP office-bearers even inquired about these corporators from media persons of the State Capital who visited Ayodhya to cover Bharati’s public meeting. However, these corporators have clarified before the district unit office-bearers that they were out of station due to other reasons.

According to information, a three-time corporator had earlier met Uma Bharati on her way to Sagar from Bhopal. The party leaders had sought clarification on this issue from him.

They have demanded high-level enquiry so that justice is done to Kamla Bai.
