Gaur meets Arjun on BHEL land issue

COMMERCE & Industry Minister Babulal Gaur today met the Union HRD Minister Arjun Singh and urged him to use his good office for an early transfer of about 2250 acre land to the State Government from Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) Bhopal.

COMMERCE & Industry Minister Babulal Gaur today met the Union HRD Minister Arjun Singh and urged him to use his good office for an early transfer of about 2250 acre land to the State Government from Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) Bhopal.

He said the proposal was pending with Union Heavy Industry Ministry and the concerned parties has agreed in principle for transfer of the land. Gaur said with the transfer of land various developmental projects pending in Bhopal would become a reality.

He said between 1956 and 1962 the State Government allocated 6045.180 acres of land to BHEL. The company still had 4633.210 acre of land left after surrendering 1411.970 acre to the State Government. Out of this Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited wants to return 2243.210 acre of land to Madhya Pradesh Government.
