The video footage of the kid’s experiment with the speed machine had gone viral on social media triggering a hot debate but the boy’s parents had defended the youngster saying it was a great feat.

The case has been registered for exposing young children to danger and encouraging them for under-age driving endangering their lives and that of others. He was also charged with MV Act for letting unlicenced boy drive a high-powered vehicle.

“We have questioned him and found that he encouraged his son’s under-age driving. We can’t encourage this. But no action has been taken against child since he’s a juvenile,” said Thrissur SP R K Jayaraj. However the father reacted angrily saying cops were unnecessarily harassing his family.

He was summoned by the police after the YouTube video triggered a debate among netizens.

Charged under section 23 of the Juvenile Justice Act if he’s found guilty he may get a jail term of six months, or fine or with both.
