The 16-year-old accused was produced in juvenile court and sent to juvenile jail. The accused lured the victim in a bathroom of an anganwadi centre on Monday and committed the alleged crime.

The matter came to light when people present in the anganwadi centre heard the victim's cries. Sensing trouble, the accused fled the spot. The victim was taken to the Civil Hospital for medical examination.

A case under Sections 363 (kidnapping) and 376(rape) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant sections of the Prevention Of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act has been registered against the accused, the Narnaul police have said.
