MP poll officer suspended

A zonal election officer in Jhabua district was suspended on charges of negligence of duty.

A zonal election officer in Jhabua district of Madhya Pradesh was suspended with immediate effect on Saturday on charges of negligence of duty.

District Election Officer and collector AK Bhatt suspended Dilip Mingarkar, an education officer at Alirajpur development block, as he was absent from a meeting, official sources said.

He even could not give a satisfactory reply to a show cause notice for remaining absent from the meeting called by the election office, they said.
