Four school teachers have been placed under suspension in Orissa's Kendrapara district as they did not report for poll duty, official sources said.

They had been appointed as first and second polling officers in different booths, but they did not attend the training and other programmes organised for the April 26 polls, the sources said.

The district collector, who is also the district election officer, had placed them under suspension.

The four teachers are Chaitanya Charan Barik, Pradipta Mohanty, Pradipta Nayak and Raj Kishore Swain.
