A day after the sealing issue left a trail of violence in the capital, Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil on Thursday reviewed the situation at a high-level meeting in New Delhi.

The meeting was attended by Lt Governor of Delhi BL Joshi, Chief Minister Sheila Diksit, Home Secretary VK Duggal and other top officials including Union Urban Development Secretary Anil Baijal and MCD Commissioner AK Nigam.

Home Minister Shivraj Patil, who heads the Group of Ministers (GoM) set up by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to look into the issues pertaining to the sealing drive in Delhi, had convened a high-level meeting on the issue on Thursday.

Four persons were killed, three of them in police firing, and scores of people including security personnel injured as the traders' bandh against MCD's sealing drive turned violent in many parts of the capital on Wednesday.

The Centre also plans to call a special Parliament session to consider a constitutional amendment on the issue.
