Jammu and Kashmir Samata Party on Saturday announced its support to Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Dr BL Raina for the Srinagar Lok Sabha constituency.

"We have announced our support to BSP candidate Dr Raina from Srinagar, where we haven't fielded anyone ourselves," the party's state unit parliamentary board chairman Satpaul Sharma told reporters.

But Samata was contesting on its own in Udhampur and Anantnag, he added. "We have no tie-up with any political party on these two seats," he said.
