Sensex 37 points up in early trade

Sensex recovered by more than 37 points in early trade on Friday on the Bombay Stock Exchange on selective buying by funds.

The benchmark Sensex recovered by more than 37 points in early trade on Friday on the Bombay Stock Exchange on selective buying by funds.

The 30-share index, Sensex, which had lost 25.70 points yesterday, was up by 37.67 points to 13,718.50 in first five minutes of trading.

The wide-based National Stock Exchange, Nifty recovered by 11.55 points to trade at 3,957.00.

The major support came in from heavy-weights like Reliance Industries, Reliance Energy, Tata Steel, Bajaj Auto, Maruti Udyog, Infosys Technologies, Satyam Computers, ONGC, ICICI Bank, HDFC Ltd, NTPC, Larsen and Toubro, Tata Motors and Grasim Industries.
