Several months after she quit the presidentship of her Bharatiya Janashakti Party, speculation is rife about the possible return of former Madhya Pradesh Chief minister, Uma Bharti to the BJP.
The BJP central parliamentary board which met recently in New Delhi was expected to firm up the decision to bring back Bharti into the party but nothing of that sort happened.
It was expected that after the party's decision to take back Jaswant Singh, it would be just a matter of time before Bharti was also taken back into it.
Following this, the Madhya Pradesh BJP president, Prabhat Jha said that a decision on Bharti's return to the party would not be taken at least for some time now.
Jha has gone on record as saying that there was no proposal before the party's state unit to bring back Bharti to it.
He has also been maintaining that the BJP state unit has nothing to do with the return of Bharti and says that a decision on this will be taken only by the party's central leadership.
Right now, no one can say when she may come back to the party, but in case she does, she will have to answer a lot of uncomfortable questions.
She has said numerous times that come what may she will never return to the BJP and that the party had become a closed chapter for her.
