The programme began with the lighting of the lamp. The celebrations began when the Archbishop garlanded the portrait of St Joseph. The students of the school presented various cultural programmes including songs and dances to celebrate the occasion.
The Archbishop released the school magazine ‘Zeitgeist’. School Principal Fr. Maria Stephen received the first copy of the magazine. The Archbishop appreciated the school management, staff members and the students for bringing out the magazine. ‘Creative Sparks’, a series of 10 art and craft books, were also released on the occasion.
The books have been authored by Richa Saxena, a teacher of St Joseph’s Co-Ed School. Manager of the school Fr. Abraham appreciated Richa Saxena for writing the books. He said that with the series of books, an effort had been made to introduce new ideas in arts and craft. It opens up a whole new space for the students to explore their talents and imagination, he added.
Vicar General (Archdiocese of Bhopal) Fr. George Stephen, Headmistress of the School Sr. Mercy and head coordinator Sr. Julie were also present on the occasion.
