'Warne obsessed with women'

A South African woman, who had alleged that Shane Warne pestered her through sexy SMS messages, says the Australian spin star was obsessed with women.

Helen Cohen was speaking to a Durban-based paper, 'Independent On Saturday', about the reported divorce proceedings by Warne's wife, Simone.

"Shane is a fantastic person, he's actually a really good guy but he has a problem with women."

Cohen had been involved in a battle to obtain Rand 200,000 from Warne in return for her silence on the raunchy SMS scandal.

One of the messages sent from a hotel in Sandton, Johannesburg, in February 2000 was an invitation to Cohen to visit Warne in his room where he was waiting "naked".

She went public with the story after Warne's business partner in South Africa, Gavin Varejes, refused to keep to an agreement to pay a second instalment of Rand 100,000 to her.

"Shane and Gavin put me through hell, but I forgive them," said the mother of three.

Cohen also claimed she had kissed Warne during their brief fling but denied having sex with the bowler, the highest wickettaker in the world.
