‘Stopped kids raising abusive slogans’: Priyanka Gandhi
Referring to a video on the social media showing her stopping schoolchildren from raising abusive slogans, she said the moment she saw the schoolchildren shouting abusive slogans she stopped them.
A day after being served a notice by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said on Friday said she herself was a 47-year-old mother of two and she would never allow children to use abusive language.

Referring to a video on the social media showing her stopping schoolchildren from raising abusive slogans, she said the moment she saw the schoolchildren shouting abusive slogans she stopped them.
“It’s a full video showing me reaching there by car…As soon as I heard the children raising abusive slogans, I stopped them,” she said on Friday. The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) had issued a notice to Priyanka Gandhi on Thursday over alleged use of children in election campaign.
The complaint pertains to the video in which children were seen using abusive language in front of Vadra.
The NCPCR underlined a 2014 order by the Bombay High Court, which said children should not be included in election campaigns. The body asked the Congress leader to provide details, within three days, of the names and addresses of these children, places where the slogans were raised and how the children reached there.
A lawyer has also sought action against her under the Wildlife Protection Act after a video surfaced on the social media showing the Congress leader touching and petting snakes. Priyanka visited a village of snake charmers where she said she was not afraid of snakes. Rae Bareli and Amethi go to the polls in the fifth phase on May 6.
