Mother’s Day is celebrated differently throughout the world. A general celebration includes honouring your mother by making her feel special through gifts, cake cutting, handmade cards or other surprises.

Celebrated on the second Sunday of May in India, most countries including USA, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, China, Japan, Philippines, and South Africa are observing the special day for moms on May 12 this year. In Arab countries, Mother’s Day is celebrated on March 21, while in East European Countries, it is observed on March 8 (International Women’s Day). In the United Kingdom & Ireland, Mother’s Day is celebrated on the fourth Sunday in Lent, which occurs annually before Easter Sunday. This day is celebrated to honour motherhood, acknowledge the efforts of mothers and their role towards the upliftment of the society.
