It was a mixed day for India on Day 10 of the Rio Olympics. While athletes like discus thrower Seema Punia and boxer Vikas Krishan continued India’s exodus from the games, ace badminton star PV Sindhu joined Kidambi Shrikanth in the quarterfinals. A look at the two sides of twitter’s reaction.

First of course, comes the good news.

Then , the bad news. With one user clearly giving up on the entire contingent, summing up his emotions in few words.

And the rest followed.

There are those, however, who are still praising gymnast Dipa Karmakar for her showing at the Games. Believe in silver linings, these ones.

Ah well, there is still hope. Not over till it’s over.
