Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu greeted the people on the occasion of Solung, the most important festival of the Adis. "Solung Giidi-Em Takamem Agampe. My warmest wishes to all my Adi brothers and sisters celebrating Solung this month. The celebration is continued for five consecutive days. The first day is called ‘Solung-Gidi Dogin’ or the day of preparation, the second is the main day which is called Doreph-Long (the day of animal sacrifice), the third day is ‘Binnayat Binam’ or worshipping the goddess of plenty and prosperity, the fourth day is Yaktor of Ekoph, when the villagers prepare weapons for war.
