Candidates opt for personal touch a day before polling

Unlike addressing gatherings at fixed places using loudspeakers during the campaign, all the candidates went to villages and approached people individually to garner support. All the candidates were busy mainly in rural areas of the constituency.

Besides, keeping a vigil on use of unfair practices by opponents to garner support was also one of the main priorities of the candidates and their poll managers, and they were busy taking regular feedback on the developments in parts of the constituency from their supporters. SAD candidate Jeet Mohinder Singh Sidhu, along with a cavalcade of vehicles of his supporters, trudged the villages surrounding Talwandi Sabo to make last-ditch effort to persuade the voters.

On the other hand, Congress candidate, Harminder Singh Jassi, too travelled in the rural areas of the constituency.
