Co-op bank manager booked for rape

A co-operative bank manager of Meham town was booked by police on rape charges, after a 31-year-old woman charged him with committing crime in lieu of taking house rent. The accused was identified as Om Prakash.

A co-operative bank manager of Meham town was booked by police on rape charges, after a 31-year-old woman charged him with committing crime in lieu of taking house rent. The accused was identified as Om Prakash.

The victim used to live in the accused house on rent with her husband. On the pretext of collecting rent, the accused on Tuesday evening reached the rented premises, when her husband was out of station and committed the crime.

He offered her to settle the rent amount if she did not disclose the crime. The woman revealed it to her husband and an FIR was lodged against the accused.
