Ventura, who succeeded new Chelsea coach Antonio Conte, also called up Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti.

QATAR HITS OUT AT FIFA

DOHA: Qatar Football Association backed its vice president Saoud Al-Mohannadi and hit out at Fifa after it the governing body called for a two-and-a-half-year ban against the senior official.

On Friday, FIFA’s ethics commission recommended the ban, stating Mohannadi had refused to cooperate with an inquiry.
