Deoghar Deputy commissioner (DC) Kamleswar Prasad Singh said that for branding and marketing of Babadham peda, the district administration has decided to apply for GI tag.

6 people die while cleaning septic tank in Deoghar district in Jharkhand

“Local villagers broke open the tank and found all six lying unconscious. They were taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared them ‘brought dead’. All of them died after inhaling toxic fumes inside the tank,” Deoghar deputy commissioner, Kamleshwar Prasad Singh said.

The dead have been identified as Brajesh Chandra Burnwal, 50, Mithilesh Chandra Burnwal, 40, Govind Manjhi, 50, Bablu Manjhi, 30, Lalu Manjhi, 25, and Leelu Murmu, 30.

15 armed jawans injured in bus accident in Jharkhand

According to information, there were 52 armed jawans in the vehicle that was on its way to Deoghar. The security personnel were being transported from JAP-2 to assist the security arrangement of the month long Shravani mela to begin on July 17 in Deoghar.
