Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday addressed the graduating students of IIT- Delhi on the occasion of its 51st convocation. The programme began at 11 am. He said that it was an important day for the development of science and technology in India as nearly 2000 students of IIT-Delhi are graduating.. “I have seen the students of IITs innovating new things.They provide major strength for the success of the Self-Reliant India Campaign. Covid-19 has taught the world one more thing.Globalization is important but at the same time Self-Reliance is equally important.” IIT-Delhi conducted the convocation in hybrid mode with a physical in-person ceremony with limited attendance. The convocation was webcast live from the institute’s Dogra Hall.
