As Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia claimed he received a message from the BJP that the cases against him will be withdrawn if he switches to the BJP, an old video of former AAP leader Paramjit Katyal is doing the rounds. Kejriwal's comments come days after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raided the residence of Sisodia in connection with alleged irregularities in the implementation of the Delhi government's Excise Policy 2021-22.

The row over Delhi excise policy began in July when when LG Vinai Kumar Saxena recommended a CBI probe into the alleged discrepancies.
Sisodia is among 15 people and entities named in a first information report (FIR) registered by CBI in connection with alleged irregularities in the implementation of Delhi’s now-recalled excise policy.
Reacting to the development, Priyanka Chaturvedi, without mentioning Manish Sisodia, wondered when the practice of calling oneself an Indian ended.
Jain was arrested on May 30 by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) under provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
