Pugazhendhi Pandian, Nalini’s advocate on Saturday said that Nalini had sent a letter demanding mercy killing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Madras High Court Chief Justice Amreshwar Pratap Sahi and the TN Home Secretary’s office.

Acting on a petition by Nalini, the Madras High Court had granted her ‘ordinary leave’ of 30 days and she walked out of the Vellore Special Prison for Women on July 25, on completing the necessary formalities.

Rajiv Gandhi murder convict Nalini on 1-month parole for daughter’s wedding

Nalini had sought the parole to make arrangements for her daughter’s wedding. Her daughter Harithra, who was born in prison, currently lives in the UK.

Nalini, convicted for killing Rajiv Gandhi, moves court seeking early release

Earlier on April 15, Nalini had moved a petition before the MHC asking for six months parole for attending her daughter Haritha’s marriage. Nalini’s daughter resides in London along with her grandparents.
