Actor Michelle Dockery, best known for her role as Lady Mary Crawley on the drama series Downton Abbey, bid adieu to the show.
The 33-year-old actor took to Instagram and posted an emotional behind-the-scenes photo with Oliver and Zac Barker, who together play the role of her on-screen son, George, reported Entertainment weekly.
"Today is the last day of what has been the most glorious 6 years of my life. I am so grateful to have been part of this family Thank you to each and every one of you out there for watching… @downtonabbey_official #LastDaysOfDownton #finalcountdown," she captioned the picture.
The cast and crew of Downton Abbey have been capturing their emotional last days on set as they prepare to say farewell to the series.
Earlier in March, it was announced that the sixth season would be the series' last. But there may be hope for a movie in the future.
"If we had gone to a season 7 or 8 we would have taken it that much further," executive producer Julian Fellowes had said.
"There's speculation about whether we'll ever make a Downton movie, we might, but there are no firm plans. But it means there's a lot of rich (remaining)territory."
The final season of Downton Abbey premieres in the US on January 3 next year.
