Aam Aadmi Party on Wednesday staged a protest against finance minister Arun Jaitely in New Delhi, demanding his resignation over alleged financial irregularities in the city's cricket association. Several protestors, who climbed on police barricades and shouted slogans led by AAP legislator Somnath Bharti, were detained. Earlier in the week, Jaitley had filed a criminal as well as civil defamation complaint against Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and five other AAP leaders for allegedly defaming him in the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) controversy.
