Europe Under Heatwave Grip As Britain Faces Scorching 38°C Temperatures

Large parts of Europe are bracing for another spell of extreme heat on Thursday, with Britain facing its fifth heatwave of an exceptionally hot summer that could become the country's hottest on record. Temperatures in central and southeast England are forecast to reach as high as 38°C (100°F), just below the August temperature record set in 2003.
