Top U.S economist on why Biden administration must scale down tariff war with China

Leading American economist Lawrence H Summers, who was also the former US Secretary of Treasury, on Wednesday spoke on the tariff war between US and China. Summers spoke on consequences of diminished trade between two of the world’s largest economies. “It is a policy with bipartisan support which does not make it a wise policy,” Summers said. “The fact that is an unwise policy does not mean it can be reversed easily,” Summers added.
