LIC employees protest against govt’s Budget decision to divest partial stake

Life Insurance Corporation employees staged a protest in Mumbai. The protest was against the Centre's decision to sell partial stake in LIC. The protest was held by All India LIC Employees Federation in Mumbai. Similar protests were seen in Kolkata and Chennai. Protestors brandished placards and even burnt effigies. FM Nirmala Sitharaman had announced LIC IPO in her Budget speech.
