Woman activist, Bindu Ammini, who entered Sabarimala Temple in January, was attacked with chili powder while she was on the way to the shrine with women rights activist Trupti Desai. She was attacked at the police commissioner's office in Kochi. Desai also spoke to the media on her visit to the temple. The Supreme Court on Nov 14 upheld its decision to allow women to enter the temple. However, Kerala government denied protection to women.
