Congress still optimistic about seat sharing pact with TMC

Ahead of the upcoming state polls in West Bengal, Congress party on Sunday said that it was optimistic about firming up shortly the seat-sharing pact with regional ally and state's main opposition Trinamool Congress (TMC) party. Congress leaders Shakeel Ahmed and Manas Bhuiyan held closed-door meetings in New Delhi yesterday to chalk out the strategy for the deliberations with their ally, however the meeting didn't turn out to be fruitful. However, the leaders claim that alliance would continue and the problem would be resolved soon.
