Delhi Marathon registers over 30,000 participants

The winter breeze did not chill the spirits of the Delhi Half- Marathon participants on Sunday in the national capital New Delhi.While the number of athletes participating at the half-marathon were 8,680 including hundreds of foreign athletes, the event saw the participation of 30,222 runners over all. The prize for the men's category in the half marathon was taken away by Geoffrey Mutai from Kenya, while Ethiopia's Aselefech Mergia won in the women's category for the second time in a row. The Indian winners at the event were Deepchand Saharan and Sukanya Mall in the men's and women's category respectively.
