Home Secretary asks ULFA leader to stop working against state

India's Home Secretary, G K Pillai in Jammu on Saturday asked commander-in-chief of United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) Paresh Baruah, to understand the reality of Assam and stop working against the interests of the state. The ULFA is an armed group in India's north-east which are either fighting for an independent homeland, or for more political autonomy.
