India’s coldest town gets its first ATM

Locals in world's second coldest inhabited, Dras town in Jammu and Kashmir can finally get access to instant cash with bank authorities installing the first ever automated teller machine (ATM) in the area. The ATM was installed by the Jammu and Kashmir Bank on the Srinagar-Kargil-Leh highway, in a bid to facilitate locals and ease up the process of money transaction. Interacting with media persons locals lauded efforts of the bank and expressed their happiness over the installation of the ATM. Meanwhile, the bank's branch manager, Gulzar Ahmad said that the installation of the ATM would prove beneficial for the Army personnel and tourists.
