India shocked over diplomat arrest over visa fraud

India's foreign ministry on Friday said that it is 'shocked' and 'appalled' over the treatment being meted out to one of its woman diplomats who was arrested by the US police over visa fraud. MEA spokesperson, Syed Akbaruddin said that India would take up the matter forcefully with the US government and has voiced the sentiment already through the Indian embassy in Washington.
