Karnataka crisis: 13 BJP MLA’s quit

In a major blow to the BJP government in Karnataka, 13 state legislators, loyal to former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa, have submitted their resignations formally to the Speaker of the Assembly, KG Bopaiah. The MLAs are close to former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa, who quit the BJP in December after four decades. Earlier two Karnataka BJP legislators, Sarvabhouma Bagli and Belur Gopalakrishna had submitted a petition to the secretary of the state assembly, P. Om Prakash, seeking for the disqualification of the total thirteen legislators who are to resign.
