Left hardens stand over N-deal

The N-deal fighting its way out of political crisis seems to have reached a dead end with no agreement between the government and the Left. A meeting between India's government and its communist allies to break the deadlock was postponed on Wednesday. Left said it is committed to its stand that the government should not finalise an India-specific safeguards agreement with the IAEA.
