Music maestro Bhupen Hazarika passed away in a Mumbai hospital on Saturday after a multi-organ failure. He was 86. Hazarika who breathed his last around 4.30 pm had been undergoing treatment at the hospital since June 29. A multifaceted genius, Hazarika was everything from a singer, to a music composer, to a director and a poet. He was the man behind the inception of colour films in Arunachal Pradesh. His compositions in the film 'Rudaali' won him many awards. He was also conferred with Dadasaheb Phalke Award in the year 1992.
