Protests held against hanging of Balwant Singh

Members of the Sikh community across Punjab province in north India took to the streets and staged protest rallies on Tuesday. They were protesting against the capital punishment meted out to Balwant Singh Rajoara, co-accused in the assassination of the state's Chief Minister Beant Singh in 1995.
