Railways inducts state-of-the-art German coaches

In a bid to modernize trains, Indian Railways is inducting state-of-the-art train LHB coaches, being manufactured with German technology. The coaches, initially imported, are now being manufactured in collaboration with a German firm, at Rail Coach Factory in Kapurthala. The new coaches, equipped with hot cases and deep freezers, are provided with four emergency windows and spring loaded doors for passenger safety.
