Jordan Spieth wins British Open golf championship

Jordan Spieth won his third major championship Sunday, outpacing the field at the 146th British Open as well as one notable absentee, 14-time major champion Tiger Woods. Jordan Spieth closed with a 1-under-par 69 for a 72-hole total of 268, 3 strokes better than the runner-up, fellow American Matt Kuchar.
