The Imran Khan government is reviewing its decision to open the Afghanistan Relief Fund, one month after it made the major announcement. Pakistan's central bank has junked the request from Imran Khan government to open an account for the fund citing FATF sanctions. The government had decided to open bank account to receive cash donations from Pakistan and abroad to help Afghan people meet their immediate humanitarian needs. The move comes days after Imran Khan welcomed UN's appeal for Afghanistan aid and also just days after the Pakistan government presented a bill signing away control over the State Bank of Pakistan.
