Hezbollah threatens Israel after strikes on terror group, says 'ready for war'

Lebanese Hezbollah has threatened Israel with attacks after Israeli troops pounded the militant group inside Lebanon with airstrikes and artillery fire in response to rocket attacks. Hassan Nasrullah, the chief of Iran-backed Hezbollah, said they are ready for a war with Israel to defend his country. Nasrullah warned Israel that if it strikes the militant group again, it will respond in retaliation. The fresh escalation between Israel and Lebanon has raised fears of a widespread clash between the two sides. Israel and Hezbollah fought a war in 2006 that left hundreds of people dead on both sides. The United States have asked both sides to exercise restraint.
