Iran-Backed Fighters Vs. U.S. Military Clash Off Yemen After Shipping Attack

The U.S. military said it struck several Houthi targets after Iran-backed rebels claimed to have launched attacks on Israeli, American and UK ships off Yemen. The U.S. Central Command said on X its forces had destroyed an air defense system with two missiles ready to launch, a ground control station in Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen and one unmanned aerial system launched by the Houthis from Yemen over the Red Sea.
