Bhutto banned from leaving Pakistan

Former premier Benazir Bhutto's Pakistan People's Party or PPP on Tuesday asked the Government to immediately remove restrictions that prevent Bhutto from going abroad. The government had put her name on the Exit Control List (ECL), thus preventing her from travelling outside Pakistan. Meanwhile Pakistan's opposition parties have denounced the government proposal to ban campaign rallies following the Friday's bombing in Karachi.
