August company: Gallery of Gour Hari Dastaan's award-winning artistes

The cast and crew of filmmaker Ananth Mahadevan's next Gour Hari Dastaan boasts of several award winning artistes which includes the like of Resul Pookutty and Konkona Sensharma.

Ten National Award winners, one Emmy Award winner and one Oscar winner - the members of Ananth Mahadevan's next Gour Hari Dastaan sure sounds like a dream team, as it includes several winners of prestigious awards.

The cast includes five National Award-winning actors Konkona Sensharma, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Vikram Gokhale, Rajit Kapur and Saurabh Shukla. The technical team has National Award-winning editor Sreekar Prasad, and re-recordist Anup Dev. Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty, and Emmy Award-winning cinematographer Alphonse Roy, are also working on the film. On the other hand, Grammy nominee, Dr L Subramaniam is the composer of the film. "Besides this list, producers Bindiya Khanolkar and Sachin Khanolkar, and I, too, have won National Awards," says Ananth.

Was it difficult to put together such a team? Ananth explains, "Getting together an entire team of award-winning actors and crew members was not the intention. But as the appointments happened, we realised that we had one of the biggest team of award winners ever put together for an Indian film."

But Ananth admits that it wasn't a cakewalk working with everyone. "The biggest concern while dealing with the actors was their expectations from the production house, and from me. We knew that they wouldn't accept unprofessionalism. We took care of even the most minute details," he says.
