Rafael Grossi, head of IAEA, said that "very significant damage" is expected at Iran's Fordo nuclear enrichment facility following the US attack, The Associated Press reported.

IAEA chief Rafael Grossi said that he indicated to Iran that any transfer of nuclear material from a safeguarded facility to another location in the country must be declared to the UN nuclear watchdog.

Rafael Grossi, the head of UN nuclear watchdog IAEA, said that Iran on June 13 informed him in a letter that it will take "special measures" to protect nuclear equipment and materials.

An electricity feeder in northern Tehran was hit during Israeli strikes. However, no widespread power outage is there in the capital, reported Iran's Tasnim new agency.

Several airlines have been weighing how long to cancel their flights to the Middle East amid the escalating tensions between Iran and Israel.

Singapore Airlines cancelled its flights to Dubai through to Tuesday. IAG group member Iberia also cancelled its flights to Doha for Sunday and Monday.

Air France KLM cancelled flights to and from Dubai and Riyadh on Sunday and Monday, and Finnair cancelled flights from Doha until at least Tuesday.

The Israeli military said that citizens can now leave protected areas, signaling that threats from Iranian missiles is over.

Electricity has been cut off in northern Tehran following Israeli strikes, reports ILNA media.

In a brief message posted on X, Iranian human rights advocate and Nobel laureate Narges Mohammadi has stated  her opposition to the attack on Iran by Israel and the United States.

“What I am certain of is that war never brings democracy, human rights, or freedom,” Mohammadi wrote. 

In an interview with the Norwegian newspaper Klassekampen, the 2023 Nobel Peace Prize winner directed most of her critique at Israel and the US, saying that Netanyahu “is leading us to hell while promising freedom”.

Iran israel war news: Germany's foreign minister has called on Iran to engage in direct talks with the United States following US' strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities. 

"Iran says it only wants to negotiate with Europe and we see that as a good sign but we do also say that's not sufficient. We want to see the United States being involved," German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said, speaking to journalists in Brussels ahead of a meeting of EU foreign ministers.

"I renew my call on Iran to now be ready for talks. We have, however, been asked by the U.S., over the last few weeks and also just now, to remain in touch and Europe does have a role," he added.

Iran Israel war news: As per the Times of Israel, around 15 ballistic missiles were fired from Iran, which have also made impacts.

Local media further states that medics are responding to reports of a ballistic missile impact in the Ashdod area in southern Israel. 

As of now no reports of injuries have been made.

Israel Iran war news: As Iran works towards the closure of the Strait of Hormuz European Union's top diplomat said on Monday that the move would be dangerous and "not good for anybody",

"The concerns of retaliation and this war escalating are huge, especially closing of the Strait of Hormuz by Iran is something that would be extremely dangerous and not good for anybody," Kaja Kallas told reporters ahead of a meeting with EU foreign ministers.
