Qatar's Emir voices against giving Israel green light for ‘unconditional killing’
Qatar has a significant role to play in redirecting the outcome of the Israel-Hamas war as it acts as the key negotiator to release the hostages from Hamas.
Israel shouldn't be given a green light for unconditional killing, Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani said on Tuesday during this annual speech to open the Gulf Arab state's advisory Shura council. The Emir's remark holds importance in the Israel-Hamas conflict as Qatar is on the forefront of the negotiations that are being carried out to release the hostages ensnared by Hamas in Gaza. The emirate boasts good relations with both the West and the Gazan Islamist group.

So far, four hostages, two Americans, have been released among a total of 222 people who were held captive in the Palestinian enclave.
Al-Thani's remark came amid the Israeli army pressuring Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to give green light for ground invasion of the Gaza Strip. The Israel Defence Force (IDF) gave out fresh warnings to Hamas that the military will bring the group to a 'state of full dismantling'.
We want to bring Hamas to a state of full dismantling- its leaders, its military branch, and its working mechanisms. That is why we are striking, and eliminating high ranking commanders and members, destroying infrastructure, and acting with great determination," the top IDF official said.
The Emir further said the ongoing war was a dangerous escalation that threatened the region and the world as well.
Israel has recently increased its bombardment on targets in the Palestinian enclave which spiralled the death toll as the United States and other global powers called for aid to continue flowing into the besieged strip to prevent an already grave humanitarian crisis from worsening.
Dozens of Hamas fighters were killed, including three key commanders, in the attack which was carried out overnight, according to the Israeli military.
