US, Israel attack Iran LIVE: Iran's sprawling nuclear facility at Natanz was struck during US and Israeli military operations against the Islamic Republic, Iran's ambassador to the UN nuclear watchdog said on Monday.

"Again they attacked Iran's peaceful, safeguarded nuclear facilities yesterday," Reza Najafi told reporters at a meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency's 35-nation board of governors.

Asked by Reuters which facilities were hit, he replied: "Natanz.

Two drones targeting Saudi Arabia’s Ras Tanura refinery were intercepted and destroyed, Saudi defense ministry spokesperson Turki Al-Malki was cited as saying by state-run Al Ekhbariya TV.

The refinery is one of Saudi Arabia’s largest and has a capacity of 550,000 barrels a day.

Israel's military said Monday it was intensifying its campaign against Iran and would step up strikes on "key elements of the regime".

"We will increasingly strike the key elements of the regime and continue to intensify the damage," military spokesman Brigadier General Effie Defrin said during a televised briefing.

The ⁠International ⁠Atomic Energy Agency has no indication that Israeli ⁠and US attacks on Iran have ⁠hit any nuclear facilities, but it has not been able to reach ‌Iran’s nuclear authorities, its chief Rafael Grossi has told the agency’s Board of Governors.

“We have ⁠no indication that ⁠any of the nuclear installations … have been damaged ⁠or hit,” he said ⁠in a ⁠statement to the 35-nation board, adding: “Efforts to contact the Iranian ‌nuclear regulatory authorities … continue, with no response ‌so ‌far.”

US President Donald Trump has said that the American and Israeli airstrike that killed Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Saturday also killed the men the United States had identified as his most likely successors, leaving no clear picture of who will lead the Islamic Republic next.

Trump made the remarks in a phone interview with US-based channel ABC News' Chief Washington Correspondent Jonathan Karl on Sunday night. "The attack was so successful it knocked out most of the candidates," Trump said, as per Karl on X, "It's not going to be anybody that we were thinking of because they are all dead. Second or third place is dead."

The Iran conflict killed one Chinese citizen in Tehran, the capital, while more than 3,000 were evacuated, China's foreign ministry said on Monday, as its embassies and consulates in nearby countries swung into action to help the affected.

Israel’s defence minister Israel Katz has said Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim ‌Qassem was now a “target for elimination”.

The statement comes after Israeli jets bombed Lebanon, killing at least 31 people, after Hezbollah launched what it said was a rocket and drone attack against a military base near Haifa, in northern Israel, in retaliation for the killing of Khamenei.

Israel army has said that it is simultaneously striking targets in Iran, Lebanon, AFP reported.

The Iranian Red Crescent Society said on Monday that the US-Israeli airstrike campaign targeting Iran has killed at least 555 people so far in the Islamic Republic.

The society added that 131 cities have come under attack so far in the war.

Bahraini state media reported on Monday that 1 person has been killed and two others “seriously injured” after debris from an intercepted missile sparked a fire on a “foreign vessel” in Bahrain’s Salman Industrial City.

The fire is under control and fully extinguished, reported Bahrain New Agency.

US, Israel attack Iran LIVE: The United States has issued its highest travel warning, “Level 4: Do Not Travel” for Iran and Iraq, as tensions rise following US combat operations in Iran.

In a February 28 “Worldwide Caution,” the US Department of State said: “Following the launch of US combat operations in Iran, Americans worldwide and especially in the Middle East should follow the guidance in the latest security alerts issued by the nearest US embassy or consulate.” The department added: “The Department of State advises Americans worldwide to exercise increased caution.”

Along with Iran and Iraq, a level 4 alert is also active for Lebanon where US citizens have been asked to “leave now using commercial options”.

US Iran War LIVE: Several American warplanes crashed in Kuwait on Monday morning, said the country's defence ministry.

"Several US warplanes crashed this morning. Confirming that all crew members survived," a defence ministry spokesman said in a statement, adding that the cause was under investigation.

"Authorities immediately initiated search and rescue operations, evacuating the crews and transporting them to a hospital for medical evaluation and treatment. He noted that their condition is stable," the statement added further.

This statement from Kuwait comes after a video of a US F-15 fighter jet crashing went viral.

US, Israel attack Iran LIVE: Iran's top security official Ali Larijani has stated that Tehran will continue to defend itself against aggression from the US and Israel.

In a post on X, the Iranian security chief slammed Trump's “delusional ambitions” and accused the US president of replacing his “America first” policy with “Israel first”.

“Trump dragged the region into turmoil with “delusional ambitions” and is now concerned about further American casualties. Through misguided actions, he turned his self-styled slogan “America First” into “Israel First,” sacrificing American soldiers for Israel’s pursuit of power. With new fabrications, he is once again imposing the cost of his personality cult on American troops and their families,” said Larijani.

In a press briefing, the Chinese Foreign Affairs ministry has condemned the US, Israeli joint strikes on Iran, stating that the action violates international law. China further added it is willing to intervene and promote resolving the conflict through diplomatic talks.

“Threat is a continuing threat of missile and UAV attacks over Kuwait. Do not come to the Embassy. Take cover in your residence on the lowest available floor and away from windows. Do not go outside. The US Embassy in Kuwait urges US citizens in Kuwait to shelter in place, review security plans in the event of an attack, and to stay alert in case of additional future attacks. US Embassy personnel are sheltering in place,” the notice read.

This notice was issued after witness alerts came in regarding smoke from the area where the US embassy is in Kuwait.
