Actor Alia Bhatt is being showered with praise for her look in the recently released Kalank teaser. The actor plays a character named Roop in the film. Alia’s ex-boyfriend Sidharth Malhotra was among the many Bollywood celebrities who tweeted about the teaser, and Alia has responded.

Producer Karan Johar had shared the Kalank teaser on Twitter on Tuesday, to which Sidharth reacted, “Wow superb guys ! Looking spectacular #KalankTeasar.” Alia acknowledged his tweet and replied, “Thank youuuu sid!!!!”

Alia and Sidharth, along with Varun Dhawan had made their Bollywood debuts together with Karan’s 2012 film Student of the Year. Varun, who plays Zafar in Kalank, also replied to Sidharth’s tweet, “Thank u Sid apko salaam.”

Karan had asked Sidharth about his breakup with Alia on an episode of Koffee with Karan, and the actor had said, “We haven’t met after it. Our relationship is civil... I don’t think it’s bitter. It’s been a while. I have known her for much longer even before we dated. I gave my first ever shot with her in SOTY so there is so much history.”

However, Alia told DNA in an interview, “Sid and I did meet actually. They had shot the episode much before we met so he must have said that. But we have obviously met recently and it was extremely normal.”

On the work front, Sidharth will now be seen with his Hasee Toh Phasee co-star Parineeti Chopra in their second film together, Jabariya Jodi. He will also be seen with Riteish Deshmukh, Tara Sutaria and Rakul Preet Singh in Marjaavaan.

Alia and Varun are coming together for the fourth time in Kalank, which also stars Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur. The film is Karan’s father Yash Johar’s dream project and is scheduled to release on April 19.
