More to a name

Salman Khan calls his company SKBH (Salman Khan Being Human) Productions.

Since brothers Sohail Khan and Arbaaz Khan started Sohail Khan Productions and Arbaaz Khan Productions respectively, most expected Salman Khan to follow suit. But the actor decided to name his banner, SKBH (Salman Khan’s Being Human) Productions. His first co-production is Chillar Party with UTV SpotBoy.

A crewmember reveals that Salman’s first choice was Being Human Productions: “But since his foundation is a NGO, he considered calling it Salman Khan Productions. Then he decided on SKBH Productions.”

The actor-producer wants the movies made under this banner not only to entertain, but also reflect his brand. Though the first poster of Chillar Party was designed with the actor’s company as Salman Khan Productions, it was later changed to SKBH Productions.

“When we were informed that his company is called SKBH Productions we incorporated it in the campaign,” says Vikas Bahl, who’s directing Chillar Party in association with Nitesh Tiwari. The director, who’s working on the post-production of the music video recently shot with Ranbir Kapoor, reveals that they are planning a campaign with Salman too.

“Currently he is busy with Ready and Bodyguard. We’re discussing strategies,” says Bahl, whose film was recently called ‘Munnabhai for the kids’ by Rajkumar Hirani.
